HealthEi is a patient-facing health information service. Our mission is to help patients understand their own medical care — in plain language, in their language, after every hospital visit.

We use artificial intelligence to translate complex medical information into clear, accessible language. We do not diagnose, treat, or replace your medical team. We help you understand what your medical team has already told you.

What Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to serve you. Nothing more.

• Contact information: Your first name and email address when you join our waitlist.
• Usage information: How you interact with our website (pages visited, time spent). This is anonymous and used only to improve the site.
• Communications: If you email us directly, we keep that correspondence to respond to you.

We do not collect health records, diagnoses, medications, or any clinical information through this website. When HealthEi is activated through your health plan, a separate and more detailed privacy notice will apply to that service.

How We Use Artificial Intelligence

HealthEi uses AI to make medical information understandable. Here is exactly how that works — and what it does not do.

• What AI does: Translates medical terms, discharge summaries, and clinical instructions into plain language. Personalizes information based on language preference and cultural context.
• What AI does not do: AI does not make medical decisions. AI does not diagnose. AI does not recommend treatment. AI does not replace your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
• Human oversight: All AI-generated content is developed under the guidance of clinical and health literacy experts. We review and update our AI systems regularly.
• Transparency: When you receive information from HealthEi, it will always be clear that it was generated with AI assistance. We do not hide this.

How We Protect Your Information

• All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
• We do not sell your information. Ever. To anyone.
• We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.
• Access to your data is restricted to HealthEi team members who need it to operate the service.
• We retain your contact information only for as long as necessary to operate the waitlist and notify you when the service is available.

Healthcare Privacy Standards

HealthEi is designed with healthcare privacy regulations in mind, including HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) in the United States and equivalent frameworks internationally.

When HealthEi is delivered through your health plan, it operates under a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with your health plan, which means your health information is protected under HIPAA.

This website — healthei.io — is a marketing and waitlist site only. It does not process protected health information (PHI).

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the information we hold about you.
• Correction: Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate.
• Deletion: Ask us to delete your information at any time.
• Opt out: Unsubscribe from communications at any time by clicking unsubscribe in any email or by contacting us directly.

Cookies and Tracking

This website uses minimal cookies — only what is required for basic site functionality and anonymous analytics. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

Third-Party Services

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate this site:

• Vercel: Hosting and delivery of this website. No personal data stored beyond standard server logs.
• Formspree: Processes waitlist form submissions. Your name and email are transmitted securely and used only to contact you about HealthEi availability.

We do not use Facebook Pixel, Google Ads tracking, or any behavioral advertising tools on this site.

Children's Privacy

This website is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us at admin@healthei.io and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify waitlist members by email.
